Linux-AI OS 1.0 “Star” is the first major public edition of the Linux-AI OS project. This release introduces the core desktop experience, the AI Assistant foundation, the Linux-AI Control Center, visual branding, system customization, and the early software stack intended for productivity, creativity, learning, and daily computer use.

Known Limitations

  • The first ISO may not yet include every planned AI feature.

  • Hardware compatibility may vary depending on graphics cards, wireless adapters, and older systems.
  • Secure Boot support may require additional testing.
  • The website download mirror system is not yet active; downloads will be hosted directly from the official website first.

Recommended Installation Notes

  • Back up important files before installing.
  • Test Linux-AI OS in a live USB session before replacing an existing operating system.
  • For best performance, use an SSD and at least 8 GB RAM.
  • For testing, Linux-AI OS may also be installed inside a virtual machine.
